the Structures canvas serie, Chapter 5

Another serie, called "Structures", of three canvases in a bigger size. 1m x 1m, in two Gold and two copper tones. Spraypaint, acrylic, metalic paint and laquer marker mixture. As usual I cant picture the metallic effect.

Chapter 5: Analysis of Structures 

Some of the most common structures we see around us are buildings & bridges. In addition to these, 

one can also classify a lot of other objects as "structures." 

For instance: 

Almost everything has an internal structure and can be thought of as a "structure". 

The objective of this chapter is to figure out the forces being carried by these letter structures so that as an engineer, you can decide whether the letter structure can sustain these forces or not. 

Note: this includes "reaction" forces from the supports as well. 

Externalforces: "Loads"acting on your letter structure.   

Internalforces: Forces that develop within every letter structure that keep the different parts

Admiral street wall

 Last year autum I was asked, by the City of Berlin and the Housing Company, to do a mural together with 10 youngsters at Admiralstreet in Kreuzberg. They had that vision of a classical Graffiti wall representing their street and their names. I did started to do the firstlines and ten of them did the fill-ins. So we did it all together. Big shout out and thanks to the all the boys from Admiral street who were around while it went down.

Streetfiles R.i.P

As you maybe heard Streetfiles.org went offline on the 30.04.2013. I quikly saved myself 3 atmosphere pictures that i liked and that are 20 years old.
The first is taken on S1-station Großgörschenstr. (nowadays Yorkstr.). The houses were not renovated since world war 2 and on the left you see the infamous Döner Kebap, where the writers Corner was located in Schöneberg. First the meeting point was on the station platform but then security started to kick us out, it was not anymore allowed to hang out on the station. "Take a train or leave the station", was the security slogan.
So the writers started to hang out in the front of the station on the street and at the Döner Kebap, were you could easily see the trains pass by the bridge.
This picture give me good memories and catches the feeling of that time perfectly. It was the time when i had every 50 meters a streetpiece in Schöneberg around 1993.

Another 2 very nice atmo pictures i found on the SF-account of "Collector". One from the S-1 line in Schöneberg, from the good times and one picture of an old pannel, maybe taken on Friedrichstr.?!.
